Marjorie’s son Aleksei was stillborn at 37 weeks, she decided to channel her grief into helping others by raising awareness about preventable stillbirth. She has worked tirelessly ever since to reduce stillbirth rates in the U.S. This led her to be one of the co-founders of Push for Empowered Pregnancy, an organization focused on ending preventable stillbirth. Marjorie is also a certified Patient Family Partner for Mommas Voices.

Marjorie, a former Mrs. New York International in 2015 and Mrs. New York America in 2020, used her platform to highlight this issue. She has also dedicated her life to service, including missionary work in Haiti and volunteering with organizations like New York Cares and the American Heart Association.

Marjorie was named a “Woman of Excellence” by Brooklyn's former Borough President Eric Adams for her work in stillbirth awareness. She is a trauma therapist, and a captivating public speaker on stillbirth prevention. She holds advanced degrees in education and counseling, and is currently pursuing a PhD at PACE University.
